Description
The U.S. Navy adopted the N-3 utility jacket in the early 1940s. The simple specification with one one chest and two patch pockets on the waist has almost the same appearance as the P-41 adopted by the U.S. Marine Corps at the same time. Identify whether it is “USN” or “USMC” marked on the chest pocket. The button is a blackened donut-shaped tuck button used during the Great War and is engraved with a laurel tree. The sleeves are tube-shaped single sleeves, which can be adjusted with two tuck buttons stuck in the tip of the sleeve. When World War II broke out and the number of soldiers increased, additional production of equipment was rushed, and jackets that were simplified to the extreme like this N-3 were very suitable for mass production.
