Description
The Mitchell pattern camouflage fabric, originally used for tents and helmet covers to provide camouflage, began to be used for locally made jackets and trousers during the Vietnam War. Due to their local production, these garments were rare and came in several variations. The print, similar to the World War II frog skin pattern, featured double-sided printing for jungle and desert environments. The material was heavy satin fabric, with the leaf pattern side using the fabric’s reverse side.
